Caring quilt sewing saturday

Yesterday five ladies came together sewing caring quilts.

We had a lot of fun cutting stripes,

and sewing quilts.

And during this saturday some quilt tops was done

It is always fun coming together like this,
and it feels good making caring quilts
that later will be given away to a child at a hospital.

With big tables put together we also had
the oportunity to baste a big quilt standing up.

And Bentes wonderful flower garden quilt
is now ready to be handquilted.

This is MY quilt

I think that is what Rusken is telling Frida cat. This is MY quilt.

Look mom placed it on the floor so I can sleep on it.
Frida cat is sitting in the background just shaking her fury head. What a jerk, she is thinking.

This is the little cat quilt I tryed to take a photo of today. I needed a little cat quilt as a present. Not so much time to make one, but then I remembered my box of finished stitcheries. Maybe there was one with a cat there, and yes it was. So in just an hour I had put some borders (of course a cat fabric) on it, had it quilted and put a binding on.

I will continue to make stitcheries and put in this box. So easy when you need a gift in a hurry.

Like Hanne I have started to make som kits for our care quilt sewing together on saturday. Going into my sewingroom now to make another kit. It feels so good to use fabric from my stash to make a little girl or a boy happy.

A new travelling bag

Finally I have been able to sew again. Not much, but enough to keep me from going totally insane :) Days without sewing is not fun, but right now it was really important to relax and get my head back on place. But a whole week with no sewing.........booooooooooooooooring:)

Some time ago I started to make myself a new travelling bag. And the last days I have done the last finishing details on it. I have added some new things on this bag that was not in the pattern. Now I have a new bag when I travel to the Norwegian annual quilt meeting in march.

I am so proud that I have made this bag just out of fabrics from my stash. The only thing I had to buy was the habalon batting inside the bag. The one I had was just a little too short for this bag. Perhaps I should make some makeup purses or drawstring bags to go with it too???? I have some scraps left, and it would have been fun to have used all of it :)

Rusken have found himself a new favorite place.

Wonder why there is so much cat hair on my fabrics :)

Discovering the world outside

Hmmm.....look there is a world outside the house too

I have this place to sit and watch everything out there,
mom have been so nice and made room for me here,
but she does not like that I try to see whats inside these flowerpots.

What is all that white outside???

I better have a look
if I dare to go out this door

How fun, I can make some pawprints in the snow

and it taste good

But BRRRRRRRRRR,
it was so cold outside,
I rather lay here and warm myself now

No sewing

Not so much sewing the last days. Woke up in the middle of the night on friday with a terrible pain in my neck. Going to the emergency on saturday evening I was told I have a "slipped disc" in my neck.

So now I just have to relax,
eat pain killers
and wait for the pain to go away.

And just thinking of all I want to do.

I WANT TO STITCH!!!!!!
