2nd sunday in advent

Woke up early this morning feeling great. Friday I took the svine flu vaccination and I felt bad all friday and all saturday. All my plans this weekend was put aside and I just had to relax.

But today I lighted two advent candles, made a cup of tea and enjoyed opening my four advent presents.
I feel like a child looking at the wrapped advents gifts.

And this is what was in my packages today. Thank you Bente, Stina, Nancy and Hanne. Love it all.

Frida and I have stayed almost all day in my sewingroom.
She sleeping and I sewing on some christmas presents.

Saying for today:

Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be fat quarters or a pattern or lace?
Or a quilt kit, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa," I said
"You know....good little girls should be in their beds ".
"I know I should Santa, and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited to see what you brought
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work."
He shook his head quickly, And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough stuff, I'll see you next year!"

May Britt, glad you are feeling better after the Swine Flu Vaccine. DH and myself had a combined Whooping Cough, Diptheria and Tetanus Vaccination last week. We have 2 young grandchildren now and the Health Authorities are recommending that close family members now have that injection, because Whooping Cough is such a nasty disease in babies. Granchildren are now 15 months and 8 weeks old now. Our little fella is probably just starting his vaccinations now. I keep saying to DH that we should get the Swine Flu jab too. They are saying over here that this Vaccine will cover us for 2010 winter too. We had ordinary flu jabs earlier this year for the first time, just before Swine Flu was unleashed in Mexico. Will go and make appointment with our Doctor now. Another hot, hot one here today!!!

Santa will certainly NOT COME to me, my craft room is overflowing!!!
I am just in the process of buying some extra fabrics in the Victoria's Scatter Garden range (out in about 2004/2005.) I found their lovely website on the weekend, but unfortunately they do not take overseas orders (from USA, I am in Australia.) I did manage to find some on ebay, so that should do. I have their book of about 6 patterns too. Magentas, yellows, greens, purples. This is just a fabulous range. I am fussy cutting 5-1/2" squares out of bouquets at the moment, magenta, purple and green backgrounds. They are simply gorgeous. A handbag would look good too in this range!!!!!

what a lovely verse, so apt for most of us quilting bloggers I suspect. so pleased you are feeling better after your swine flu jab, surely much better then the swine flu itself.

Sorry to hear you had some side-effects from the vaccine, May Britt. Hopefully, you'll be well-protected from the real thing.
Your advent gifties are beautiful! Lucky you!
All the best from Denmark!

Oh well, don´t worry, we all have enough stuff, but as you see you still get presents to unwrap, and they are so pretty.

Oh what a scary poem. I'd better hide all my stuff!

I'm glad you are feeling better - I hadn't heard of anyone getting sick with this shot, but it looks like you and Stina both did. Hopefully you will be able to avoid the flu now.
