At the antique house

It was fun visiting the antique house that is close to the hotel. I know my daughter would have loved to visit here. Rows on rows with all kind of stuff. And in between everywhere you could spot quilts. I wish I could find quilts as this in Norwegian antique stores. Some were in very good condition, some were used so much that there was holes. Next time I am coming back to Shipshewana I will buy an antique quilt.

Quilting bee and cinnamon rolls

Today we was invited to bake cinnamon rolls and to hand quilt with a Amish family. The cinnamon rolls was delicious. And there was great to spend time quilting with them.

There was a lot of beautiful quilts on the walls.

And quilts on their quilting frames

Show and tell with Rosmary Young

This evening Rosemary Young gave us a wonderful presentation telling about her quilting life and about her books. I have her books The civil war diary quilt and The civil war love letter quilt. It was so interesting to hear about the stories behind her books. And to see these quilts in real person. Just enjoy the photos.

Thank you Rosemary for all this inspiration.
