Easter working

When Hanne and I visited the quiltshop I did a little shopping too. Our quiltshop is having a big sale and these two had to come home with me.
And of course they had got lot of new fabrics.
Only these three jumped down in my basket. Do not know what to make of them yet. Perhaps a bag??
Quilting is extreme sport................anyway if you baste a quilt.
Today I found the outer border for my Leannes House. I decided to use the green fabrics that I have in the quilt, and I am really satisfied with it. I taped it on the floor and basted it. And now my knees and back hurts. This way of basting is not good for an "old lady". But now I can look forward to quilt it.
Saying for today:
My soul is fed with needle and thread,
my body with chocolate!!

Den quilten blir så nydelig - de grønne rammene gjorde seg virkelig godt.

Lovely fabrics, May Brit and lucky you shopping with Hanne.

I feel bad for you having to baste on the floor like that. There is no way to get to a table you can elevate or do it at a quilt shop classroom? No wonder you are so sore!

The green framing is perfect ! Your quilt is looking so good :-)

Love the new fabrics and the quilt is amazing. I know the feeling about that hands and knees basting. I have trouble closing the pins too. Sore hands every time!

I love the choice you made for a green border . . . now if only quilts could baste themselves *s*

MayBritt your Leannes House is Lovely.. I used Robyn Pandolphs for mine and did a soft pink border, but I am loving how yours is turning out.. I cheated, I got mine professionally quilted, aka no basting done by me!
Have a wonderful easter!

Lissa
PS mine is on my blog sometime last year! May or June methinks!

I agree the basting part gets you tired, I always wish I had a BIG table when it comes to this part.

Beautiful fabrics purchased!

Your Leanne's House project is beautiful. It's on my some day list - maybe I should consider moving it up on my list. :-) And, btw, you're not an old lady. :-)

This quilt with all the stitcheries is so pretty -- and I can commisserate with the 'on the floor' thing, having just done that yesterday!
