Christmas Journal

Yesterday I visited my friend Hanne and we had a great evening together. I slept over there because I was up very early to drive to a meeting. She took a photo of me and I have borrowed it from her blog. I had forgotten to bring my camera. As usual we enjoyed the evening stitching.

And this is what I was stitching on. The first block of Gingham Girls. I have had this block prepared several months now, so I really wanted to start stitching on it. But I still want to concentrate on my autumn houses.

This is what was waiting for me in my mailbox when I came home today. Two new books I have ordered at www.capris.no .

I have joined The Early Bird Christmas Crafting club and our first challenge is to make a Christmas journal. When I came home today I found my old notebook where I have written the christmasgifts for the last five years. And it is really the time for making a new one. I remembered a pattern I bought from Northern Quilts several years ago. This is perfect for my Christmas present journal. A cute Santa with the text Har du vært snill i år (in eng: Have you been nice this year) I have traced the pattern and found the red thread. So Judith; now I have started. Visit her blog and see all the cute journals that have been made so far.

Saying for today:

A friend is one of the nicest things you can have,
and one of the best things you can be.
