This weekend I have been doing great progress on my Antique Sampler. All blocks finished and I started to do the layout of the quilt.
Then I discovered I was lacking 3 blocks. What……I really thought I had finished them all.
But after looking through my Antique Sampler sewing box filled wiht fabrics I found the three missing blocks in the bottom of the box. Did the applique yesterday.
And today I sewed the top together. When I bought the kit (fabrics) for this quilt I intended to make a brown and blue quilt. But then I started to add a little bit red and a little bit of pink to make it MY quilt, and the look of it has changed totally. As you see I am making a smaller version than the original quilt.
Today while visiting Laila I glued the pieces for the outher border. I love my glue pen. It is so fun working on this quilt now.
I have also done a lot of progress on my Scandinavian Christmas. Sitting out on the porch these days when we have had +28 C in the shadow has been so lovely.
But today it is a chillly wind and it is best to stay indoors at the sewingroom.
Saying for today:
People say best friends are hard to find,
that's because the best is already mine!

This is really lovely! I can't wait to see the finished quilt. I love the colors and arrangement.
I love your Antique Sampler and the border will be beautiful. It looks wonderful with the red and pink.
I really like the antique sampler design. Especially the star blocks.
May Britt...you have been busy love your projects..
Your work is wonderful. The quilt is beautiful and the Christmas blocks look great too. Hugs, Sandra
Stunning and so much more meaningful for you when you add your own touches.
What a great quilt. One of my first quilts was a Log Cabin - I did a class and came home to make the rest of the blocks. I worked out that 6 x 4 = 20 (!!!!) and so when I came to lay it out I was obviously 4 blocks short. I don't think I will ever forget that 4 x 6 = 24 now LOL!
Those Christmas blocks are gorgeous!
Oh wow, your Sampler top is so beautiful. Love the Scandinavian Christmas blocks too.
Congrats! Both works are amazing, love your Antique Sampler version, I'll start it on summer... hugs from Spain
