Kathrine had borrowed my basket quilt and I got a lot of wonderful comments on it.  And I think a lot of other ladies got inspired and bought those red bundles the shop had for sale.

Now you have seen some of the shops who was at this event. There were several more shops, but I did not get photos from all of them.

A lot of inspirations, and A LOT of temptations.  It was so fun visiting these shops again and again and again during these three days.  Every time I came back to a shop my eyes spottet something new and tempting.

I guess you understand that a lot of goodies had to come home with me.  I have plans with all of these projects and I will tell you more of that later. And notice…….just one red fabric this time.  Bought a lot of civil war fabrics and a lot of Sue Daley templates and paper pieces.

Will show you photos from the exhibitions and from the presentation Joanna Figueroa later, but first I need a good night sleep.  Hope I will be able to sleep, because there is so many ideas tumbling around in my head right now.

Relaxing weekend

006

This weekend has really been relaxing.  I’ve been quilting all day long on my basket quilt.  Knowing I will not be able to finish the whole quilt before next weekend.  But my goal is to have all the baskets done by thursday night. 27 baskets left to quilt.  Hope I manage it because I just have the evnings to quilt.

002

Did not quilt all day long yesterday.  Had to do something else because my arm startet to hurt.  So I went into my sewingroom and picked a box.

003

It is the This Goes With That (TGWT) design Sue Daley.  I have made 8 hexagons so far, but I have not touched the box for a long time.  I am in need of a easy “on-the-go” sewing next weekend and I thought this would be perfect.

004

I love Sue Daleys patterns because they always comes with papers and templates.  And in this package it is a lot of templates.

005

The harderst part is to find fabrics.  Making this quilt in red and white too, so I am picking the colours from my basketquilt which I am very pleased with.

006

Five hexagon blocks ready to be made.

February OPAM

I had some finishes for february OPAM, but I could not show them until today.

002

Yesterday my son’s girlfriend got these four placepats for her birthday.  And I am now going to make some more because she loved them and wished for two more.  Think I have to make some for myself too.

019

Another small finish for february is this pincushion we made at the quiltmeeting thursday.  I had to make a sample to show the ladies at the meeting.  Love this little pincushion and it is now in use besides my new sewingmachine.

February quiltmeeting in my local quilt group.  Look how consentrated these ladies are.

making this pincushion design Sue Daley.

005

They were all having fun and some ladies did EEP for the first time.  And some learned how to use the gluepen.

023

Some ladies manage to sew the pincushion together and got to stuff it with batting.  No photos of all the pincushions yet, but I told them to bring the pincushions to the next quilt meeting.  May be a photo then.
