This is my two good friends Anita and Nancy who lives in Grimstad. Here we are visiting the quilt shop "Merethes Lille Atelier". I only bought one little piece of fabrick and a button.
This is Gizmo. And of course a cat who lives in a quilters home have to have his own placemat
We were working all weekend preparing papers for the Norwegian Quilt Associations annual guilt meeting. And we got very good help from Gizmo.
Now I can button up :) Look what my friend Nancy had bought me when she was on holiday in Caribien. A necklace and earrings made of buttons. Just perfect for a quilter that loves buttons.
I have had a lovely weekend with good friends. No sewing done, so I have a lot to catch up now. Tomorrow I am starting a new class in hand stitching. Six ladies who I hope will be hocked on quilting. We will start with ohio star and monkey wrench and go further on with different tecniques. I will teach them how do applique with freezerpaper and how to baste a quilt. And finally I will teach them how to handquilt. And during eight evenings and with a lot of homework they will make a sampler quilt.
There is a new blogger among us. Take a look at Jeanne blog Luv2stitch and say hello and mention I sendt you. She is one of the ladies that had made a block in my DJ siggie swap. I challenged her to make a blog too and she have done that now. I am looking forward to see what she is making.

Så ut til å være en hyggelig tur - håper den ikke ble for dyr (hi hi). Hva heter butikken du var i og hva er adressen? fint om du kunne legge ut informasjon om det
T.M.
Thank you, May, for mentioning my blog. I have lots of UFOs to show you in the coming months.
Jeanne
What a fun weekend it sounds like you had! The picture of the harbor is lovely and what a fun present from your friend!
A wonderful way to spend with a weekends - good friends and a cuddly cat. Good luck with your hand stitching class tomorrow. I've marked Jeanne's blog and have added her to my bloglines.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your weekend! It looks like a very lovely place. Thanks for the pictures of the quilt shop. Our shops always have their bolts standing on end instead of stacked like that. Isn't that interesting? I hope you have good luck with your class...new quilter's are always welcome. I checked out Jeanne's blog and left her a note.
I like the placemat idea - we've got Chesty's bowls sitting on a store bought mat that I'm not crazy about - maybe I need to make him his own placemat.
Spring seems very far away today with our temperatures not even making it above 0!
Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself even if you didn't get anything quilty done.
Good luck with your classes. Let us know how it goes.
It looks like you had a great weekend! The button necklace is lovely.

Oh... your trip to Grimstad sounds wonderful. I haven't been there since i was i child, but a quilt shop is a good reason to make an effort to go back:-) Hope your planning of the guild meeting went well. I wish I was going to Stjoerdal in March, but I've got a seminar at work that weekend:-/
