Back in my sewingroom

I am feeling so much more better now than my last post. At that time I had got a bad cold and I needed several days recovering from it. All I manage to do was to sit in my chair and do a little applique on my Autumn Houses Quilt.

I have 7 blocks finished and are working on block number 9. Had to wait doing the applique on block 8 because I want to change the fabric on the big pumpkin. The one that came in the kit was toooooooooo pink and did not fit in at all. Think I have found a replacement now.

But today I have enjoyed some time in my sewingroom. I had already finished the stitchery for the rose-bag, and today I sewed it together.

I really love this bag. Perfect to bring a little project in, or just have it standing in my bathroom.
Pattern is from Northern Quilts. And this is my first finish in june :)

Back in my sewing mojo I also visited my friend Bjørg (no blogger) today. Perhaps you rememeber a wonderful table runner she showed at our summer quilt meeting. She have made a pattern of it that she is giving her friends in the BB club, and went there to receive mine. I have all fabrics ready to be cut and look forward to start on it.

I also have another pattern ready (found on the net) to start making some christmas gifts. And I really need to remember to buy a book or folder to make my Christmas Journal, forget it every time I am at the shopping center.

It feel so good to have my sewing mojo back again.

Saying for today:

Even if you have just destroyed a Ming Vase, purr.
Usually all will be forgiven.

Ser du har mye på gang du også. Får dårlig samvittighet når jeg ser hvor langt du er kommet på Autumn House. Jeg har også den BOMen, men har ennå ikke kommet igang. Er nok ikke lenge før du er ferdig. Lykke til.

Autumn Houses blir virkelig nydelig. Når man legger så mye arbeid i noe må man ta seg tid til å bytte ut de stoffene man ikke liker. Gleder meg til å se hvilket stoff du har valgt. Lykke til videre. Bodil (bodilshobby.blogg.no)

Hey May Britt! Your autumn houses quilt is looking fabulous - I love the contrast between the pretty colours and the white/neutral backgrounds - can't wait to see it finished! And your bag is lovely too. Glad you've squeezed some stitching time into your busy schedule to give you time to relax. Bear Hugs! KRIS
