A cruise in Oslofjorden

Today I have been on a cruise in the Oslofjord together with my colleagues at work. We had a wonderful 5 hours trip with an old sailboat (now with a motor).

After several days with heavy rain, we had wonderful temperature and a little bit sun in between.

And there was a lot of nice places to watch.

Delicious schrimps to eat

Wish I could afford a little cabin on one of these islands :)
One that had a nice porch I could sit and stitch on,
while watching all the boats on the fjord.

Saying for today:

Sunshine is delicious,
rain is refreshing,
wind braces us up,
snow is exhilarating;
there is really no such thing
as bad weather,
only different kinds of good weather.

Hey May Britt! Looks like you had a lovely day on the water - nice way to relax since your work has been so busy lately. And those prawns (shrimp) look YUMMO! My favourite ever seafood! :0) Hope your weekend is even more relaxing with lots of stitching time. Bear Hugs! KRIS

May, how exciting to see that you were on Oslofjorden.
My family emigrated from Oslo in February 1882.
Their homeplace was Helvik/Nesodden.
Their home is right on the water and could see Oslo from their waterfront.
My fetter Harald is a retired fast ferry caption whose route was Oslo/Nesodden [where he lives].
Thank you for the wonderful blog post.
Hugs & ♥♥♥s,
Gerry

It looks like a wonderful day and a fun way to spend time with friends. We are using our hotel points to stay in a place on an island in New Hampshire, so looking forward to that.

Hi May,

Thanks for the photos so we could all go on this outing with you. Looks like fun. I love shrimp.

Like Woolen Sails, we vacation in New Hampshire (Lake Winnipesaukee), but not on an island.

The little islands remind me of Fannette Island with its tea house on Lake Tahoe right by Vikingsholm.

Hi May, We are off to Norway on our cruise in 2 weeks, hope the weather stays good. I have packed all the thermals expecting very cold temperatures.
