A productive Easter holiday

Thanks to perfect sewing weather (cold wind blowing and today snowing) I have spendt a lot of hours in my sewing room and stitching/doing needleturn while watching a lot of movies on the tv.

008

I have finished all stitchery on the project from Helen Stubbings that we got at the workshop in Tønsberg two weeks ago.  Now it is laying besides my sewing machine ready to be sewn together.

009

It have also been so fun sewing together the project from Gail Pan.  Just have a few leaf to applique down.

003

I went up in the attic looking for some fabric I thought I have stored up there in a box.  Did not find the fabric, but a lot of UFO’s that I had totally forgotten all about.  Some of them was allowed to enter into the sewingroom again.

001

Some finishes this Easter holiday.  11 pair of potholders. These were started at the cabin earlier this year.

005

Two hearts (design AnnAKa).  These were so fun to make.  The stitchery was finished long time before Christmas, but I did not have time finish the hears.  I choose a “not Chrismassy fabric” and think they can be used the whole year.  Will make more of these I think.

006

This is a very old UFO that now is finished. Just had to applique the sircles in the middle of the flowers, stitch the steams and sew down the binding.

004

The upper project is a pillow I made before Christmas.  Just need to sew down the binding I sewed on today.   The little table runner at the bottom is  UFO #1 from the attic.  I machinequilted it and now I just have to sew down the binding.

007

UFO #2 from the attic.  Unpicked the handquilting I had done on it (just two threads handquilted), machinequilted it and sewed on the binding.

010

UFO #3.  Did not remember starting this one, but it is one from Kim Diehl first book.  Just have to applique on the heart leaves.  This was started long time before I really understood how needlturn was done, so I have used freezerpaper on the wrong side of the fabric.  Do I applique it like this, or do I trace new leaves and do the needleturn like I do now??

This has been a very productive Easter holiday and I feel happy having so many finishes.

Tomorrow back to work and that means not so much time for sewing.

Saying for today:

"Forget love ...
I'd rather fall in chocolate!"
