Busy days

I took my DD to watch Indiana Jones on thursday.

And guess what......he's as brave, tough and goodlooking as he was over 27 years ago when the first Indiana Jones movie came. Remember going to see the first film in 1981. Loved all of them and this new film is also great.
Been painting just a little on friday and saturday because of the rain. But today the sun is shining and I know we have the BIG paitingday today. So I've been reading. I planned to save the Elm Creek books for my summervacation, but you know.................I could not stop reading when I first started, so I have only two books left now.

And I received one of my new ordered books in mail yesterday. Anne Pia Godske Rasmussens book "Hånd i hanke" (means: Hand in handle) I got all her previous books and this one is also great. A lot of projects I want to try. Even my DD looked at it and said she would try some of the projects in it.

I hope she will get more and more interested in quilting, but I do not want to push her. She is occupied with scool and photography, but when she's ready to learn I'll teach her. But she made this tablerunner all by herself this week. I've just told her some small details, like how to do the binding.

And I got the job sewing the binding down. As she said; this is so booooooring and if I continue doing this perhaps I'll never want to sew again! LOL LOL LOL And of course I took the job. And I could not have said no either, because earlier my mother took the job sewing down the bindings on my projects. So you see.............she's so alike me LOL LOL

I've made a new list of links in the sidebar. It's Norwegian quilt groups. They are all in norwegian, but you foreign readers can watch the photos and get inspired from them.

Now.......out painting!!!
Coffe and sweets out on the porch..........
if you come, please bring your paintbrush!!

Saying for today:

A woman has the last word in any argument...
Anything a man says after that
is the beginning of a new argument

Glad you gave Indy a good review... we are going as a family one night soon. I would love my daughter to become interested in quilting like you I will not push.

We must encourage our young ones as much as we can! Sewing down the binding is a small favour!
Love your saying for the day!

OK I'm ready with my paintbrush. Send Superman to get me and I'll be there to help you. SMILE

We are doing the terrasse deck today. 60 kv. meters (about 600 square foot according to DH). It might need two layers of oiling.

Love the tablerunner your daughter made! My grandmother and mother teached me how to sew my clothes. At the time I didn’t like it that much. Now I appreciate everything they taught me.
Dutch TV broadcasted all the old Indiana Jones movies last week. That was fun!

Håper malingen går greit for deg/ dine armer.
*klem*

Thank you for sharing the list of quilt groups in Norway! And Harrison Ford (!), I guess you have seen him in "the Amish" film "Witness to Murder"?? I never forget the dancing scene in the barn...But he gets older like the rest of us, hehe.

I hate bindings too!! So I don't blame your DD:)
I saw the book on several blogs;looks nice but it's a pity it's not available in English. Same with the Tilda books: though there are pics, I want to be able to understand the text. The patterns I like most are NOT in the English books but in the Norwegian.

Ha! I like the saying for the day! I haven't seen the Indiana Jones movie yet, but I wonder how they make him look young again? Must be lots of makeup in the wrinkles.

I enjoyed the Indiana Jones movie as well -- Harrison Ford is definitely still dreamy! Your daughter's table runner is lovely as well -- and I can't blame her for handing off the binding, I'd do the same if I could!

Harrison Ford, yeah, I love his films too. And I think about buying the new Rasmussen book or if I should wait, if in the future a german version possibly comes out...is the book great? It looks so nice! And the table runner is so beautiful, you can tell your daughter!
Many greetings!

I love your blog very much.... especially the adventcalendar!!! It is never too early to begin with Christmas sewings!
I love Christmas so I am sure I will begin with it the next time, too.
I love Harrison Ford and these Indiana Jones..... This man doesn`t change! Hopefully we look as nice as him when we are as old as him.
Are you a teacher?? So I am.
