It is a lot of work on this block. And I have traced and cut all pieces for this one. We have noticed that block 2, 4, 6 and 8 are probably the blocks with most applique on it. So to have enough to sew on this christmas we chose to make block number 2 now. And we probably will make them in order from now on.
Saying for today:
There's enough warmth in a friend's hug
to warm up the coldest day

Så flotte disse blokkene blir. Ser veldig hyggelig ut å sy sammen på den måten dere gjør. Da får man gjort litt også.
I really like this pattern set. You are doing such a great job! I look forward to seeing the finished product.
well......did you get her talked into making the bias???
I love the blocks and the color scheme. I love the pink buttons that you sent to stina. they were beautiful:)
It's going to be another beauty!
It is going to be so lovely!
Hey May Britt! Looks like you and your two quilting buddies had a great day. And even though there may be lots of work in these blocks, just think how spectacular they'll look when you're finished!! Can't wait to see photos of your progress - Bear Hugs! KRIS
Hi May Britt,
This quilt is going to be gorgeous and I love the idea of the advent gift exchange.

Ahhhhh...they are gorgeous!!! :o)
Could you please tell me to pick this one up...from wherever I have it!!!:o)
You always have such lovely posts.
Hi May, I am doing this quilt as well although I started mine last Christmas!!! Mine was a block of month which included the fabrics and is the same colours as the pattern photos. That block is a lot of work and fiddly bias!!!! I am doing blanket stitch embroidery and other embroidery stitches for embellishing as needleturn is beautiful but I don't think I have enough patience. I hope to hand quilt it when its finished.
Have fun with it. I especially like the blue version too, looks great.
Kind regards from Liz
Wow, they are beautiful both in red and in blue.
Hello May, I look forward each week to read your blog and see what adventures you've been up to. I love all your work and wish I could be as good as you are with your sewing. Please tell me how you get "saying for today" at the end of each post.
Soooo lovely ! I'm taking notes with all your remarks about these blocks, this will ease my job when I'll start it ;>)
XOXOXOXOXO

You guys are amazing - as if I did not know that from before :-)
Lovely blocks !
I am giving BG more attention this month, hoping to finish all the prepping and piecing through December.
If you happen to see my block # 6, please let me know - I have put it in a smart place (not!)
Beautiful blocks, must be fun to work together with a friend....
Täcket kommer att bli väldigt fint!! Vilka fina färger och vilket arbete!!!
Kjempe flotte blokker. Dere er flink damer Jeg beundrer det dere gjør. Nå er det bare lukkekanten rundt på engle teppet så er jeg klar
Your blocks for The Joy Of Life are looking great, I cant decide if I prefer the red or the blue version the best.
