A day to celebrate

May 17th is the national day of Norway.

Happy birthday to all of you
and I wish you all a lovely day

Today there is also some other things to celebrate

Yesterday Norway won the Eurovision Song Contest with

Another thing for me to celebrate.

I have finished all my blocks for Joy of Life. During watching the Eurovision Song Contest yesterday I finished the applique on the last block. And my plans is now to get the top together before going to NQT on wednesday.

Saying for today:

Ja, vi elsker dette landet,
som det stiger frem,
furet, værbitt over vannet,
med de tusen hjem.
Elsker, elsker det og tenker
på vår far og mor.
Og den saganatt som senker
drømme på vår jord.
Og den saganatt som senker,
senker drømme på vår jord

(national anthem of Norway)
You can read more about it here.

Joy of Life - beautiful! My grandfather - all still a little obscure - Robert Canute Larsen? - went to England as a 4-year old, later to Australia, where he was known as Bob Lawson - I had an uncle and a now have a cousin named Gustave - perhaps of Norwegian descent - what do you think? Your patriotism is to be admired!
