Quilting

This is what I have been working on the last week.
Last week I had to stay home (doctors order) with my bad hip. So being at home with orders to relax, do not walk much, keep my feet high.........what do a quilter do............... of course stitch, quilt, read quiltbooks, get inspired from blogs.

So I concentrated on my "Grandmothers photoalbum" and managed to sew it together. But I struggled so much with putting it together. Don't you hate when the pattern is wrong. But using my math I made up my own version of this quilt and I am very pleased with it.

And now I have started to handquilt it. Want to have it finished before next thursday. My local quilt guild is celebrating 10th anniversary and are giving a big quilt exhibition. And it would be fun to have this hanging there too.

Well....back to quilting.............

Saying for today:
Remember the days blessings,
Forget the days troubles

Så flott dette ble. Det er så delikat med rødt og hvitt. Håper det går bedre med hoften. Godt det ikke var skulderen. :-) Ha en fin kveld.

I have never seen those embroidery designs. I really like them. So old fashioned looking. Love the cow. I don't have any idea what the words on the blocks say.

Take care of yourself dear May!!

Love the quilt... I can't understand the words , but I know it must be sweet. Sorry about your hip.... what kind of hip issue do you have? I have bursitis that flares up from time to time and it hurts so much when it does! I hope you feel better.

Looks so lovely...your personal twist to it is beautiful! Hope your hip is healing...nothing worse than being 'stuck' although it's often a blessing for us stitchers!

Så nydelig, jeg liker så godt rødt og hvitt. Synd du plages med hoften, men heldig at du hadde noe å holde på med.
Nøyaktig når og hvor har dere utstilling? Åpen for publikum vel? Kanskje jeg får med noen av "sysøstrene" på en tur...

Take care, May! I hope the resting does your hip some good. Your redwork is beautiful!

It is so frustrating when a pattern is wrong, but who would know looking at your gorgeous creation.
So sad to hear your hip is playing up again...do hope it gets better soon. Think of all the stitching you well get done while you are waiting for it to heal.
Take care thinking of you
