Staying focused??

Today I did the big cleaning up in the storing room besides the garage. I have postponed it for a long time, but today I did it. Having my DD moving home from Trondheim with her stuff, I guess there is need for her to store some boxes there. And after that was done I washed away all the pollen on my porch and rearranged the furniture outside, so now it is ready for summer sewing both on the front porch and the back porch.

And as a prize for all the work done today, I enjoyed some hours stitching on My Garden. I am almost finished stitching block #6. Will put the log cabin on when all the blocks are stitched. I am giving this priority now, because I have mad a deal with Bjørg to focus and finish some of my projects this summer. And then we can start sewing Antique Sampler together with a better conscience. No new projects this summer....................(I hope)

This is also another of my focus projects (have to admit that right now I have several focus projects). It is 2 x "Svennebrevet". I have almost made all the blocks that are sewn by machine, and then there is the blocks that I have to applique. Want to make all the rows of blocks before I choose the borders on it. This is my rainy days focus projects.

But as a true quilter I have so many projects in my drawers, so I guess I will not be getting bored this summer LOL And if I stay on focus with what I have planned, I guess it will feel so much better starting our new big project in august.

Do you manage to stay focused on your projects??

Saying or today:

Happiness is like a butterfly.
The more you chase it, the more it eludes you.
But if you turn your attention to other things,
it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.

It is impossible, I have ten new ideas every day that prevent progress in projects already under way. I have to organize!

Lykke til med fokusprosjektene, inntil du blir fristet av noe du må bare sy;))

It is hard to stay focused when there are too many temptations! I am almost finished with Antique Sampler.. Just have to finish up the outer border. Then it is over to Gypsy Garden as I have made a crazy deal to get that finished for christmas. Fingers crossed!:-)
You have a great blog that I enjoy checking almost every day!

It's difficult to stay focussed when everyday there is something new out that just has to be started!

I can stay focused on my projects - for at least an hour! Then I need to get another spool of thread, and I see another project, and I think, that will be the next one, so I bring it to the machine... and then I think, working on project #1 is getting boring, I'll just make a few blocks of project #2, then go back to #1.....and the next thing I know, I have 12 blocks of #2 done, and I REALLY need to finish #1....help!

Best of luck on the "no new projects this summer" policy :o) I'm crossing my fingers you are able to stay focused, because I would love to see how these lovely projects turn out!

Oooh May Britt... I must be a true quilter too!!! So many projects, and I'm still doing a deal with myself. No real stitching utill I finish cleaning out the cupboards getting ready to shift. Then I can sew...ooooh..the wait is awful!! Maybe if I just threw everything out, I could get back to my machine quicker...
