Back home from my Summer vacation

005

Doesn’t this look great.  Warm sand, blue sky, blue ocean and sunshine.
I am now back home from a week in Alanya, Turkey.

001

Thursday 23 august I met Hanne and her husband at the airport, and we started our summer vacation with a glass of champagne.  We was all looking forward to spend some time in the sun, because the weather in Norway this summer has been just rain rain rain and rain.

003

I have visited Alanya once before and one of my favorites to eat is Lavash. It is served as a starter before the meals and I love it.

006

We have had long days at the beach.
Enjoying the sun and swimming in the ocean.

008

Just relaxing, reading and sleeping under the umbrella.

011

Some stitchery on the porch together with a glass of wine.

018We even tried the fish spa.

022

We discovered a shop filled with laces, buttons and thread.

060

where I bought some thread that will be nice to handquilt with.

024

we also found a big yarn shop, where there was cats everywhere

023

and it looked like they was having a good life among all the yarn.

036

Some more sun bathing at the beach

045

eating good food

049

enjoying some good drinks in the evening

053

054

And here we are testing our new glasses by doing the stitchery test.

It has been a wonderful relaxing summer vacation.
Thanks to my great travelling companions.

Saying for today:

It must have been hard to come home, your holiday ticks all the boxes - sun, food, friends, wine, shopping and stitching. Looks like it was fun.

It looks like you are oth having a wonderful time. What better relaxation than champagne, stitching, shops , good food ( not having to cook), and good friends.

It looks like a lovely warm place to visit. I had to smile at the cats and yarn. I suppose they stop any mice from making nests so the owner of the shop doesn't mind.

Today is a warm day here or I would be green with envy at your lovely holiday. It is so lovely to see blue skies and sea. Thank you so much for sharing.

I have seen people use those reels to do punch needle with as you don't keep having to stop to re-thread the needle.

That sunshine looks just the right thing! I make lavash but cut it into little cracker sized strips. I must try it making it bigger.
