Quilt medicine

I felt so lonely this weekend. Just me and Frida cat. My DD is doing great up in Trondheim and starts school tomorrow. So what do you do when feeling lonely................. you go into the sewingroom and starts sewing. That is medicine........quilt medicine.

I have got the name of the girl I'm sending a christmasgift to in the SSCS. I have visited her blog and I thought this might be the perfect gift for her. I know she loves cupcakes. LOL......and after reading a lot of blogs I know she is not the only one.......so that's not a safe clue who it might be LOL LOL. Stina had made a lovely cupcake wallhanging some time ago, and I knew I had this Tilda book. So yesterday I started tracing cupcakes, writing some text and made these wallhangings. One for my SSCS partner and one for myself. I liked it so much so I just had to make one for myself. Now I can enjoy stitching the text and do the applique. Nice work in front of the tv.
Todays work was framing my angel blocks. I had a sewing together with Stina on msn and we had to report our progress to eachother several times during the day. I was crawling around on the floor playing with different fabrics. Hoping I had enough to both frame the blocks and making squares to fill between the blocks. I had to add som extra fabrics, but they are so similar in colour so I think it will match well.
And this is how far I got today. All my blocks are framed. Now starts the progress with rotary cutting all the squares. I know Stina have finished her top today so visit her blog and take a look at hers.
Do your sewing room get this messy while working on a project???

I always try to keep it in order while working, but when you get so eager rotarycutting, finding fabrics and sewing, the intentions keeping it tidy just doesn't work LOL Okei....perhaps I clean up tomorrow.
Saying for today:

Tea pot is on, the cups are waiting,
Favorite chairs anticipating,
No matter what I have to do,
My friend there's always time for you.

Your Angels are just too wonderful! Can't wait to see all the squares between the blocks. A friend and I made a BOM for Guild Raffle with a garden theme in the blocks of all different sizes, and used squares of many colors for the sashing. It was very effective, so I know yours will be also.
