A wonderful friday

Early (really early) this morning 5 ladies started on a quilt trip to Sweden. With a map, coffee and a lot of laughter we started driving towards our goal.

After some hours of driving it was time for a little breakfast/coffee break. The sun was shining all day and the temperature was so nice.

Finally we arrived at Lappelisa's shop. This is a really nice house located on a beautiful place nearby a lake.
It is such a nice shop. She has just moved to a new location and has officially not yet opened. But we had mailed her and she told us just to come :)

A wonderful shop with a lot of news for us to look at. Hard to decide what to buy.

So we just went outside for lunch and coffee. Just to clear our minds and get ready for some real shopping. Look at the wonderful surroundings. The shop is the red house in the background snd the lake is right outside.

Then.......ready to shop again. A lot of new fabrics to look through.

Me in the pink corner of fabrics. I love pink, but actually NO pink fabrics came home with me :)

Bjørg in big trouble deciding what fabrics to buy.

We spendt a lot of time in this shop. And there was also a nice porch we could sit down relaxing looking through books and have a glass of water to cool down.

Did we buy something....... Oh yes..........take a look :)
The car was filled with goodies.

I did not buy a lot this time.
Only 4 half yards of light fabrics.

and some batting.

Thank you girls for this wonderful day together.

Back home some other goodies was waiting in my mailbox.

My Quilt is a new norwegian quilt magazine. Love it. A lot of nice patterns in it. (only in norwegian). I also got the fabric, thread and pattern/button for Lynette Andersons new BOM My Garden. Love it and I look forward to start stitching on this first block.

Now I am feeling a little bit tired, but filled up with good memories and a lot new inspiration. And it has been a day full of vitamin Q.

Saying for today:

Friendship isn't a big thing
- it's a million little things.

What an absolutely beautiful shop May Britt..... How exciting..... It is a wonder you only spent as long as you did there, I can imagine you would have had to make some hard decisions, I would have wanted to bring so much home.... yummy. What a lovely lady to allow you to shop before they had actually opened.A perfect day....

We have just returned from our holiday in Sweden and Norway, so your pictures just remind me of it so much. Unfortunately we did not have time to visit her new shop, a bit out of our way, but I have read that she moved to a new one. But then, may be just as well! I can see that it would be a very expensive trip!

That's such a lovely touch that the owners of the store let you use the deck.
