I was home from work today. I was supposed to go to Trondheim on a boardmeeting with the Norwegian Quilt Association, but I just had to stay home with the flu. I feel very sad about it because I had been looking forward to this weekend for months.
I managed to start on "Gratitude" which is the name of Judy's Quilt for an Hour november quilt. I used The Angeler 2 to make the half square triangles. This little tool makes it easy to chain sew the squares correct.
After sewing all the squares together it was time to cut them to 2 1/2 inches. I marked the ruler with the size I wanted and started to cut. Marking the ruler with tape makes it easy to get the same size without thinking to hard LOL.
And now I have 80 squares.
Next step is up and I'll do it tomorrow. I enjoy this!!!!!!

D'you know I bought one of those 'angler' tools years ago when I very first started quilting and I'm damned if I know what I've done with it - looking at it in your picture it looks the ideal thing for the job - must make a mental note to hunt through my old habadashery chests of drawers with all my old cross stitch stuff in the garage - maybe it got squirrelled away in there - it'd be great if I could find it I always struggle with diagonal stitching lines
Hallo
You should be here in Trondheim! Miss you! Nancy
Hope you are feeling better soon -- lots liquids and rest.
Good job and great start :) I might try the masking tape tip :) I got my fabrics pulled, washed and almost ironed. I'll finish up ironing and start cutting tomorrow! xoxo melzie
I like your fabrics. I'm so sorry you had the flu, but at least you turned it to something good. I'm really sorry you missed your meeting!
I too have the angler but where is it? I need to find it! I hope you are feeling better. Can't wait to see your progress with your quilt.
