Relaxing

I think I got too exhausted after moving into my new sewingroom and going back to work. So I have not had some sewingtime in there yet. But I hope I soon will having back my sewing mojo, because I have so many projects in my head (like starting to make the Stitchers Angel pattern, making something to my secret friend in the Stitchers Angel swap and making some christmas things to my SSCS-swap partner, and not to talk about all the other projects)

So to relax I have enjoyed some stitching in my chair in front of the tv. And actually made some stitches before falling asleep. Before going on my summer vacation I traced Leanne Beasleys new stitchery found in Homespun. And this among some other stitcheries have been with me in my bag this summer. So relaxing to just use one colour of thread.

I love Homespun magazine and have now subscribed it from Lapp-Elisa in Sweden. So now I have something to look forward to in my mailbox each month.

Saying for today:

It sounds like you need to make a priority list of things to do. Your stitchery is beautiful. Will you frame it or incorporate it into a quilt or some other project?

The stichery is coming along well. I like anything with a house on it. This one is going to make a very nice gift for someone.

Hey May Britt! Why do our holiday times seem to go so much quicker than our usual work times?!? Do you think it's because we spend most of the year collecting things we'll do during our break ... and then we overload and run out of time!! Your stitching of Leanne's pattern is coming up wonderfully - can't wait to see it all finished! I took some redwork stitching on holidays with me too, but I think you got more done. Have fun stitching! Bear Hugs! KRIS

Hei :o)

klem

Love your stitchery!! Homespun is my fave magazine at the moment too. Always filled with designs I want to make ..... I really do need to live to be 108 to make all the things on my list. Thank Heavens for yours and Kris' OPAM ... at least I'm getting some projects finished now instead of flitting from one to another :o).
Hugs,
Joy :o)

I love my Homespun magazines, I'm trying to collect all the earlier issues I missed. Can't wait to see what project you come up with this year for Stitcher's Angel. Your little bag I made last year gets carried around with my latest stitching in it and at the moment it's a bit of redwork too!

Your work on that stitchery is beautiful. You inspired me so much, that after reading your blog tonight I grabbed my issue of Homespun and drew the design on a piece of fabric, so I now have another project ready to go!
Bet you'll be in that pretty new sewing room before you know it.

Your Stiching is so beautiful! Do you split the thread or do you use it in total? I wondered about that. Also I read almost your entire Blog these days - you got me so motivated! Thank you for that!
