Focus projects week 1

I have decided each monday in 2010 to decide what to focus on the coming week and blog about it. Hope this will encourage me to finish more projects and not jump from one to another. I will have one handsewingproject to relax with watching tv and one procject on my sewingmachine.

So this week I will focus on:

Gail Pans free pattern Christmas Wish. All blocks stitched. The last block was finished during the christmas days. Want to sew it together like this and make a outher border on it. And perhaps get it basted and ready for quilting.

And for handstitching I want to continue on the table runner I got as present from my friend Bjørg. One side of the table runner is finished stiched so I will start on the reindeers on the other side.
What are you focusing on this week???

Saying for today:
I just try to concentrate
on concentrating.

This week I am going to focus on my Spider Web blocks. I'd like to get them finished and decide whether I want to use a border or not. Focus projects sound like a good idea!!

What an excellent idea! I always try to have some hand work on the go because I just can't sit in front of the television at night without my hands being busy.

Right now I'm working on my FFF (First Friday Freebie) for February. I would like to get that done and then I can start on the Civil War Bride Quilt.

I have finished 2 tops this week - the first to start quilting on today :-)
I hope to finish another top too this week, the hexagons.

Great idea! Looking back I realize that I'm working on too many projects. This might be just the right focus for me.

I'm trying to do a similar thing this year and preplan what I'd like to work on for the week. I have no machine project this week but am making progress on my hand stitching! They are very cute reindeer!

Thats a nice idea, to focus on a project every monday. I´m curious if you will get your "christmas wish" finished this week, and I can´t wait what you will show us next monday.

I love those reindeer! Can't wait to see the finished tablerunner. Geat idea to have a defined focus for the week. I'll have to focus on deciding what to focus on this week!

That's a great idea. I seem to be jumping from one project to the next and not getting anywhere. Love the reindeer on your table runner.

Bordslöparen med renarna är jättefin! Jag försöker fokusera mig på att INTE lägga undan mitt täcke jag håller på med, och börja med nåt annat ;) utan göra det klart NU!

Your Christmas Wish blocks are lovely. I actually finishd this quilt a couple of days ago. Like you I'm trying to finish up some UFOs/WISPs, although it is so tempting to launch into new projects!

You seem very well organized to begin the new year. I worked on my Christmas Wishes blocks today, too. I was all done and then discovered the Magic block had printed out larger than the other blocks. I'm re-doing it. Happy New Year, May@
