Stitchery training camp

002

I have been hand quilting on my Antique sampler every day now, and I feel it in my shoulder.  Time to swith over to another of my Olympic focus projects.  Ironed on the stitcheries today and now I have to look for the blue thread I bought in Shipshewana.  Where did I put it??

Saying for today:

my shoulders and neck start to ache from quilting too sometimes - I have found that taking a break every 30 minutes and do some neck/shoulder stretches help a little - also a heated neck wrap

I think most of us suffer from neck and shoulder ache! I was at the Dr`s a few weeks ago and had managed to trap a muscle yes a muscle not a nerve in mine, it still is not right but the more exercise I do the better it will get, we keep too still I suppose, I know even on the computer things start to ache.

Love the antique looking fabrics you have used

LOL you probably put that thread in that "safe place". Good plan to have a break from the hand quilting. It is a big project and you don't want to debilitate yourself too much or you will never complete it. It is looking beautiful so far.

What a gorgous sampler - I love that it has hexies. You picked a wonderful motif for the centers. I only do one thread length a day - that may be why I haven't finished my 1991 UFO - lol.
