Let it snow, let it snow......

This is what I woke up to this morning. SNOW. It started to snow yesterday and it kept on snowing during the night. The first snowfall this winter. Look at my car!!!!!!!!!! I miss my garage. Luckily my boyfriend changed to winter tires on saturday. Thats necessary now. I would rather stay inside quilting now instead of driving to work.
I had big problems getting the car on the road because of the snow. And luckily I have good neighbours helping me when my car got stucked in the snow. And they was happy I had my snow shovel.

And this is how it looks outside my officewindow now. And the weather report says it will snow for several days. Winter has come. I do not like snow that much. It gets white and clean outside, but I hate to shovel it away from my car.

It has been complete chaos on the roads this morning. The roads will probably be shoveled before we are driving home from work. Every year the first snowfall makes chaos. Then we get used to it.

I'll blog more about snow, winter and my november quilt with Judy when I come home. Now back to work. I just wanted to show you these photos.

Have a nice day all of you.

Thanks for sharing the photos. It snowed a little more here last night and the water is starting to freeze. I haven't gotten any good pictures yet, though. I have a garage and no car - wish I could lend it to you!

i can't believe how much snow you have already and it isn't Winter yet. I'm not sure if i could live a Winter with snow. I think the novelty would soon wear off.

It looks lovely, but I'm surprised you don't have a warm place for your poor car. Does it start ok when it has been out all night?

WOW - I would love to get a snowfall like that because they would close my office! We are very ill prepared for that amount of snow in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Oh Aby, it is gorgeous but I'm not good at driving in it. Would be forced to take a "snow day". I agree with Calico Cat, we aren't prepared for it here either but oh my I would love to see a good snowfall for a change! :D

Beautiful! I love it. Winter Wonder Land! And I know, the first day of snow in this aerea, I’m going to call in sick. I will not spend the day in the car, trying to get to work. It is not safe. My work is not that important. And the next day the snow is usually gone, it's raining.
The weather makes it even nicer to stay inside sewing.
May Britt. Enjoy the weather on both inside and outside.

I love snow! Probably because we get it very rarely. The last time we had much snow was three years ago - and everything closed. A very nice unexpected 2-day vacation!

It just looks so serene all blanketed in snow. The one time I saw snow falling from the sky, I sat in the window and watched it for hours.

We so rarely get snow here that I sometimes forget that is does snow. Thanks for the pictures. Fresh newly fallen snow is so lovely - but I agree it is a very difficult to drive in. All "heck" breaks loose here if it snows.

Oh my goodness - that looks frightening to this southern girl! With my upcoming move to Minneapolis I guess I'll have to get used to it. Luckily I don't have to drive to work in it!

The snow is beautiful and I'd love to live with snow again but only if I never had to go out. I'd prefer to stay indoors and just enjoy its beauty.

Looks like heaven to me! :) I wouldn't want it to last long but I would love it for a week or so. Guess we don't get to choose how long the weather lasts though.

Stay safe and warm!

Oh dear -- signs of things to come to us also, in Western Nebraska, USA.

Love the beautiful photos, but that snow and shoveling get's old fast! Around here, many of the vehicles have 'pigtails' (I call them) sticking out of the front of the vehicles - they plug them into some kind of warming device for easier starting in winter.

LOVE your Sitemeter!
