Using every tiny little scrap of fabric

Always fun when some of your childern have requests for some quilty stuff.  When I was in Shipshewana last november I bought some yellow fabrics and my daughter loved them.  I have already made one tablerunner and six place mats.

And now a new request came.  She wanted another tablerunner.  Now I did not have that much fabric left, but I told her I would try to make something out of this.

I had seen one tablerunner on net that I thought was really nice.   I had no pattern, but it was so easy to cut the pieces and make the best of what I had.  On the first tablerunner and the placemats I had added some grey chambrey and so I did on this tablerunner to.

The quilting is just straight lines.  Easy, fun and fast.

I was wondering if I had enough fabric to make the binding.  But with all the scraps I had sewed together I made it all around.

Out on the porch today.  Lovely sun and so warm that I could sit there and sew down the binding.  First time sewing out on the porch this spring.  Hope there will be many many more warm days.

And this is the finished table runner.  I really like the result and will make some more of these.

And as you see there is not much left of the three fabrics I bought.  Happy dancing!!  It feels good to have used the fabric to the last piece !!!!!!

Or can I make a tiny little thing of these scraps????

Saying for today:
