Tulips

Tulips are my favorite flowers and now and then I treat myself with a bouquet.  And I have finished my tulip pillow.  Although there is TOO much snow outdoors there is a touch of SPRING in my house.

As you all now Rusken is the boss of the house.  When this photo was taken he was enjoying time in my lap.  My sewing was too far away to reach, so now sewing for a while.  He is the boss.  Of course I can't move him away.

Yesterday was quilt meeting in my quilt group.   And this is photos from our show and tell.

Longing for spring

Last weekend my quilt group had invited Helle to teach us how to use The Learning Curve ruler.  15 ladies had signed up and we had a great day together in class.

The Learning Curve ruler looks small and boring, but I had so much fun working with this ruler and the possibilities is many.  I love circles, so this is a perfect ruler for me.

I am longing for spring now, and worked with spring/easter colours this weekend. And here is the block I was working on.

The day after the class i basted my tablerunner with good help from Rusken.  So this table runner is cat approved.

Long time since we have had as much snow as we have now.  I have cleaned my porch for snow three times already this winter, time to do it again.

But all this snow makes perfect ski tracks.  Monday after work was my first ski trip this year.

Think there will be more skiing soon.

As said, I am longing for spring.  And I love tulips.  So when I foun this new pattern from Solbritt and Maria, I just had to prepp this pillow.  Ready to be appliqued and finished this coming weekend.

February 2018

Happy New Year. Already february, so it is perhaps too late to wish you all a happy new year LOL.

Long time since I made a blogpost. No excuses, but sometimes other things is more important than blogging.  I guess you all understand that. Can't promise anything, but I will try to blog more from  now on.

I have spent some time sewing together with  my daughter.  I gave her one of my sewingmachines and now we have had two sewing weekends together.  She is so clever, and I am so happy to sew together with her.  She even made her own pattern on knitting needle cases, how clever is that!!

One finish for me so far in 2018.  This table runner was so fun to sew.   I am so pleased how it turned out.  Think i will make more of these blocks, maybe for a pillow.

This weekend my quilt group has invited Helle Løvenskiold to teach us how to use the Learning Curve Ruler.  And I have packed a box with fabric for this class.  Want to make something for spring/easter.
