New ruler and Moda Blockheads

Two weeks ago I took a class in the Robin Ruths mariners compass ruler.  LOT's of thinking, but I manage to understand (I think) to figure out how to use it, thanks to good guidence of Anna Malin.
I wonder how it is inside the head of Robin Ruth who designed this ruler.  I had a hard time understand how to use it.

Four of us continued to sew, because I have to admit......
 this ruler is fun.

Lots of planning how to place the fabric.  The quilt on the floor is Anna Malins.  Love it.

My first try on this ruler.  A little coaster in mariners compas.

Next was this pillow in mariners sunflower compas.

Always fun to have Anna Malin visiting me. And we played Patchwork several times.

Irene visited me yesterday.  We had a very helpful (not) cat joining us in the sewingroom

And I have joined the Moda Blockheads 3. Interested???  Visit this link and take a look.
This is block 1-4.  Just printed instructions for block 5 and 6 today so hope I can get some time to sew those.  Will keep my blocks in blue and grey colours.
So fun to visit the group on facebook and on instagram.  Love how several are playing with these blocks.

Welcome 2020

Happy new year to you all.

This is a photo I took on new years eve when I went for a little walk.  The sunset was amazing and more red and bright than this photo shows.  Natures firework, which I love more than all the firework that people fires off at midnight.

2019 has been a great year. Spending time with my amazing family on a vacation in Parga and lot of board games and skiing.  Several quilt cabin trips with friends and Quilt camp Norway.  The photo above is my top nine instagram photos. And I see that I have some UFO's that need to be finished.

I have joined the 5 before 5 challenge in the Tour de fibre face book group.  Which means I will have to finish 5 ufo's before may month.  I have plenty to choose from.

This is how 213 shoofly blocks look like.

and I think I have manage to use 213 different blue fabrics

On the first day of 2020 I started to sew the blocks together.  So this is the first ufo I will focus on this year.  First goal...........finish the top this weekend.
