TGIF

Relaxing on the porch with stitchery and a glass of redwine. The clock is almost midnight. Still almost 20 degrees. I love summernights out on the porch. My DD (the photographer) has taken this photo of me. Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

Some stitchery

This is what I am was working on this evening. Stitchery is so easy to bring along when it is hot and I want to relax on the porch. Four almost five blocks is ready. Four left to stitch. I love to work on these.

Finally some sewing

Summer has arrived. The sun is shining, it is hot hot hot. And I love it. To sit in the shadow at the porch is so relaxing.

And finally some sewing. I was invited to Bjørg together with Laila and Bjørg. It was so great finally to have time to sit down and relax and work on my stichery. Bjørg is showing us her new project. She is such a fast and talented quilter and has always some new projects going on.
She has prepared blocks for this wonderful quilt "Baltimore Bliss"

and started to applique on the first block.

Laila was working on the first stitchery in the stitcheryclub.

I love summer with all the cute flowers.

And this is another quilt Bjørg has made .
I have big plans making this one too. I have the pattern :)

And Bjørg has quilted a lot on her Joy of Life.
I am still quilting around the application on my second block.

What I was working on this evening.
I'll show you in the next post.

Giveaways

There is a giveaway going on over at Jackie. She wants us to spread the word.

Another giveaway over at Sheree
And I really want to win this, but I have to tell you that Quilt Qua is having a giveaway. Please tell her that I sent you over to her.
I'll be back soon to show you what I've been working on lately. I hope things calms down at work soon. I am so exhausted when I come home so sewing is not on my priority right now.
This evening I am going to meet som quilt friends and we are going to chat and sew and just enjoy some time together. I am really looking forward to that.

QUIP

Yesterday it was QUIP - quilt in public day.

and my quilt guild had decided to go out an quilt in public.

We met at the mall Martenssenteret with chairs and sewing projects. Our Quilt guild is celebrating 10 years anniversary this autumn and we wantet to tell people about our big exhibition in september. We also started to sell lottery tickets. We have two big quilts and a lot of small bags, tablerunners aso as prizes. All the things at the table are prizes and you can have a glimpse of one of the big prize quilts at the left.

We had a great day sewing and chatting. A lot of curious people stopped by and asked what we were doing. And it was fun showing them all the different projects we were working on.

I was quilting on my Joy Of Life. Slow progress because I have been so busy at both work and at home the last week. I really need some time to relax now.

Quilt safari

This weekend two of my friends Hanne and Bente (no blogger) decided to come for a visit. And of course I opened my house to welcome them. I met them at our local quiltshop friday evening and there our quilt safari started. I'm sorry I have no photos from this shop. I had only my cellphone with me and all those photos was too blurry. I guess Hanne will show some from this shop.

Did I buy something at our local shop.........YES.....will show you further down :)

Saturday morning early awake and ready to continue our quiltsafari. Our plans was to visit two more quiltshops.

It is a lovely shop with a lot of inspiration.
Outside the door we was welcomed with a quilted banner that says VELKOMMEN (welcome)

Just enjoy a little photo safari around in the shop.

Did you get some inspiration. I did for sure. My head is spinning with a lot of ideas now.
Upstairs we was invited to enjoy a cup of coffee and a lovely cake.

And did we buy something in this shop............ wait and see :)

Next stop was at Kari Renolens shop Quilteliv in Moelven.
Another lovely quiltshop just a hours drive from where I live.

And did we buy something in this shop???????
Hmmmmm.......what do you think???

Next stop was at Løten lys (løten candleshop)
It is always a pleasure to visit here.

And then back home to enjoy our treasures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And this is my buyings :)

Friday at the local quiltshop just a new pattern from Annaka, some lace and a box to keep my quilting thread in.

From todays quiltsafari: At Fabrikkutsalget just a few fabrics which I am planning to use in the new tablerunner pattern shown in the photo above.

And at Quilteliv I bought some more fabrics. With the ones at the left side I'm going to make a new bag. The fabrics at the right side I am having big plans making a brown and pink quilt. (the colours on this photo is a little bit wrong)

I've had a wonderful day with two great friends. Now we are sitting here and enjoying our treasures. And talking about all the inspiration we have got during this day. Some stitching are being done and we are enjoying a glass of red wine.

A little visit to Trondheim

Saturday I went for a little trip to Trondheim. A about five hours drive from where I live to where my DD live. I was going to help her home for the holiday, and loaded the car full of her things. But not only "work". We also went to town and had a great time.

And I got time to visit Quiltegården.
One of my favorite quiltshops.

It's always so nice to come her.
And there is a lot of temptations

And Siw the owner of the shop is always smiling
and showing me things I did not know I had to have.

And this is the purchases for this weekend. "The little book of angels" (I have been looking at this book on net) and it has so many cute littel angel stitcheries. A box for buttons. Embroidery and quilting needles and a new pigma pen. And a new stitcherybatting, looking forward to try this one. I know what I want, so I hope this will work. And my DD picked this cute photo and two fabrics. So now I have to make her a new makeup purse.
Saying for today:
Friends are kisses
