I am so lucky

Goodies (two envelopes) in the mailbox is always so great

and it really made my day

coming home from work

so tired and with a bad head ace.

The first one from Quiltegården with stuff I had ordered. Gail Pans book Basket in Bloom. And then some of Lynette Andersons fabrics. I bought the fabrics Lynette have used in her new pattern Christmas Eve, and I hope to start this cushion really soon. These fabrics have been hard to find in quiltshops here in Norway, and I know why.......they are so cute. Take a close look at those cute reindeers on one of them. I have also bought myself some new stitchery background fabric, look forward to try this out.

And in the next envelope was.......YES!!!!! the book I asked for in my previous post. A lady here in Norway was willingly to sell me her book, she posted it yesterday and today it was in my mailbox. I am so happy. You bloogerfriends are so helpful.

I am looking for this book "Friends for christmas" by Lynette Anderson. I know this book is out of print and very very difficult to find in shops now, have looked everywhere. But perhaps there is someone out there in blogworld who have this book and want to sell it or swap it , I would be very very happy.

Weekend with the girls

Four girls with sewingmachines, boxes loaded with fabrics and projects at a small cabin can be a challenge for everyone.
But we are having a great time, and we have learne to take use of the space we have.

I manage to finish two projects. But I can't show you them yet. One is the christmaspresent for my SSCS partner. And one is the challenge I got from NQF (perhaps you remember the button and the lace I got some time ago). I am really pleased how they both turned out.

But I can show you this new project I am working on.

A day with Lynette part 2

Kathrines Quiltestue who hosted this day with Lynette had brought a lot of wonderful things from her shop to whis workshop. And do I need to say I had a lof of walks around these tables filled with goodies. Even Lynette commented with a smile: "May Britt, are you shopping again, go back to your place :)"

and ordered the fabrics to go with it.

A day with Lynette

Yesterday I had the most wonderful day ever. Meeting Lynette Anderson has been one of my dreams for a long long time and yesterday it come true.

Thank you Lynette for inviting Hanne and me to meet you and Vince.

Lynettes designs are so wonderful and I have been collecting them (and actually made some of them too :)for a long time. I love her tiny stitcheries which have so many lovely details. And now I was joining her workshop to learn to know her designs more.

Lynette is such a generous woman and she shared all her stitching secrets with us. And this is what we was going to make at the workshop. The pattern is called "Hapiness is..."

And this was really a day in hapiness :)

Hanne is ready to start stitching.............smiling from ear to ear..........like me :)

This is one of my favorite designs, and I really have to start stitching on this. And I have decided this will be my christmas project this year. Not to finish it this year, but to enjoy stitching it in advent and during christmas.

Lynette showed us how to make tassels, and Hanne is lending her a helping hand.

And then time for some pizza. Staying there all day even a quilter has to eat.

And then some more sewing waiting for the trunkshow to start.

This is just some of the big quilts she showed us. I took photos of all the small cushions and bags while it was on display in Kathrines shop and I will show them in my next post.

This is what I manage to sew during the whole day. Not much, but I am now so rich on memories, laughter, smiles and vitamin Q. Spending the day with Lynette has been the most wonderful day, and thank you Lynette for being you!!! I will forever treasure this day.

Two surprises

When coming home from a wonderful day with Lynette Anderson there was two packages in my mailbox. Even though I was sooooooo tired I had to open them. I knew I could not sleep knowing there was two unopened packages waiting for me.

The first package was from my Stitchers Angel. I have known for a while that it was Sandrine over at Le Fil d'Ariane. Look what she sendt me!!!!! A beautiful box, a chocolate cake covering a tape measure, a roll cake for my quilting thread, a ice-cream for my scissor and a cute little jar with pincushion and it was filled with such cute cupcakes buttons and cupcaks pins. And everything is handmade by Sandrine. Thank you sooooooo much, I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT. Thanks for being my Stitchers Angel Swap partner.

In the next package there was Quilters Companion magazine including the dvd with Helen Stubbings Colorque. This was a thank you surprise from Angela in Australia. I had helped her with a pattern which she lost when her house burned down a while a go. I am so happy I could be to some help, and I really apriciate this surprise. Looking forward to watch the dvd. Thank you Angela.
