Spring

Too early to call it a summer day,
but right now at 18:00 it is + 25 C on my porch.

Enjoying some time out here with Rusken and Frida.
They chasing flies

and I doing some stitching and reading,
just relaxing with a cup of coffee.
LOVE IT
I really need this now.
Longing all winter for this to come.

Saying for today:

They may as well
have called the sun
a ball of flaming joy.

Spring

Today has been a wonderful day. Hope spring has come to stay. And Rusken have enjoyed some time out on the porch in the sun today. As you see we have still a lot of snow, but it has been melting a lot today.

I started to cut in my green and yellow fabrics today. And together with the easter bunnies I have been stitching on, I sewed together this easter table runner. Still have to add the binding, but I think I have done a great job so far. Have been wanting a easter table runner, and when I found these cute easter bunnies I had to make them into a table runner.

New stash

I guess you all have wondered if there was any purchases during my visit at the annual quilt meeting in Tromsø and the visit from Kathrines quiltestue last thursday at our quilt meeting.

Did you really think I came home with nothing LOL
When I went to Tromsø I told myself NO fabric
just inspiration like books and patterns

But with all those temptations,
(you remember all the shop photos from previous posts)
I had big difficulties keeping my intentions.

This is what now lays on my sewingtable ready to be enjoyed. Just one book (Yoko Saioto's Daily Quilt) and one small kit for a little tape measure flower. Five skeins of cosmo embroidery thread (just love that thread) and a huge pile of fabrics. I just fell in love with all these jummy retro fabrics.

Did you notice the brown pack of fabrics in the middle? Turne to the other side there is a lot of light fabrics also in this package. Love to buy packages with all matching fabrics.

The green and yellow fabrics to the down left in the photo I have big plans for tomorrow. Planning to sew the whole day.

March 2011 quiltmeeting

Yesterday evening we had a wonderful quiltmeeting. A lot of ladies came, and I guess one of the reasons was that we had Kathrines Quiltestue visiting with a selection from the shop.
And she brought with her a lot of goodies

Temptations, temptations

in all colours

She also showed us a lot of easy quilts to make
squares are so simple and beautiful

And this is a new BOM she has in the shop

in two different colour choises

She gave a great inspiring show and tell for us.

And then there was time for some shopping

I guess there was a lot of happy ladies coming home with (hiding) fabrics

I have the pattern for this cutie and I want so bad to start with it :)

And then there was

SHOW AND TELL

Just enjoy the photos.
