HEARTS

February 14th. Valentines day.
I love hearts and flowers, romance and kisses.
I love hearts and today I took some photos of the hearts I could see around in my house just now. I know I have several more in my christmas decoration box and other boxes, but I did not find them now.
Do you want to take a look at my hearts?
This first one is a little quilt with loose hanging hearts on it.
I designed this several years ago and I love it very much.
A little pin cushion heart I designed for a stitchery class in my quilt group.
A wooden heart on my bathroom door.
A bunny heart for easter.
I find it so cute that it is hanging in my bathroom
every day, not just up for easter time
A deligthful heart that smells cinnamon and other christmas smells.
Gift from my dear friend Nancy in Grimstad.

Two stone hearts
My scissor holder which I use daily and my hexagon heart.
My Bronwyn Hayes heart My heart necklace
Heart with buttons.
And a filted heart I got from my friend Inger this christmas.
This one i hanging in my front door window.
I guess you also have some hearts around in your house, and I challenge you to show them on your blog too.

I found this about colours of roses on this link:
From time immemorial, beloveds have been compared to roses. If we juggle the letters of the word ROSE we get EROS, who is the God of Love. Rose has thus been the traditional choice of lovers around the world. The colour red is associated with strong emotions and below are listed sentiments expressed by different hues of rose:-

Lavender -- Enchantment and Uniqueness
Orange -- Fascination
Pink(Dark) -- Thankfulness, Friendship and Admiration
Red -- Love, Respect and Courage
Peach -- Modesty, Gratitude, Admiration and Sympathy
Pink (Pale) -- Grace, Joy and Happiness
Deep Red -- Beauty and Passion
White -- Innocence, Purity, Secrecy, Silence, Reverence, Humility and (according to some sources) True Love
Yellow -- Joy, Friendship, Jealousy, Hope and Freedom
Black -- Farewell
Red/White -- Unity or engagement
Yellow/Orange -- Passionate Thoughts
Yellow/Red -- Congratulations
Rosebud -- Beauty, Youth and a Heart Innocent of Love
Red Rosebud -- Purity and LovelinessWhite
Rosebud -- GirlhoodOne
Dozen Red Roses -- "I Love You"
Singel Red Rose in Full Bloom -- "I Love You"
Tea Roses -- "I'll Remember Always
And I also found this link about the meaning of flowers, and the language of flowers.
I hope you all have a heartful valentinesday.
Valentine saying for today:
Hearts that love are always in bloom

Hi May

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I really love Moda fabrics, they are so delicious. I've just had a browse of your blog and LOVED the photos of cats and dogs you posted. When I got to the cat in the toilet I nearly had to go myself! I'm putting you on my bloglines, so 'see' you again.

Cheers
Helen

Hi, it's nice to see you are all right since monday. I love all your little hearts, it must be so warm and friendly walking around your house seeing all of them:-) I took you up on your challenge of finding hearts in my appartment to post on my blog, but searching all over my 54 square metres I didn't find a single one... Hmmm... I think I'll have to do something about that...

What a wonderful collection of hearts you have. I bet you smile every time you see one.

I'm glad to hear you are getting the details of your accident taken care of. Sounds like you might get a new car. Cool.

Such wonderful hearts you have. I am just catching up on reading. Glad you are feeling better after your accident. A real blessing that no one was injured.

You really do like hearts! I have one hanging in my house. It's from my friend, Inge, in Berlin. She sent it at Christmas.

Of course, there are all the CQ hearts in progress. They are pinned to the window treatments until I mail them.

Hi May,

I've just browsed your blog. I linked to you from the stash quilt ring. I'm also a member. I love your cube quilt. An old pattern but I like the fabric lay out that you used. Makes the cubes show up more from the background. Nice colection of hearts. I'll have to check my house for hearts.

May Britt, I have two opposite viewpoints about hearts. One is that they are just too cutesy and I don't want any around. Maybe cause my sister finds them cutesy. The second is that I love them. I just finished a heart wallhanging, and an old blog post shows a heart pillow. Other than that, I don't think I have any obvious hearts around the house.
I really enjoyed seeing all the hearts around your house. I think more will be sneaking into my house.
