Workshop
You all remember the fabrics from yesterdays post. And now I will show you what I ended up with. The colours I choose first, or did I change it during the day.
We had a great day at the quiltshop. It was basicly how to learn to machinequilt. But the result would at the end of the day be a table runner. First there was a lot of practice on samplers. Will not show you mine. You would all laugh if you saw it hehehe.
It was a lot of concentration while machinequilting. Smooth curves, difficult patterns, stright lines.
I'm ready to start quilting on my tablerunner. I have been machinequilting a little before, but it is always exciting to see how it will look like this time.
Because of the small stripes of teared fabrics we had to use "fabric" that you wash away (do not know what you call it ) to keep them on place while quilting.

That "fabric" washed away and my table runner is hanging over the bathtub to drip dry.
And this is the result. I used the fabric I picked yesterday. The colours on the photo is not correct because it's taken in lamplight. More correct colours is in the photo above. Now I just have to sew on the binding. It was a fun workshop and I have learned a lot.

Grundsetmartn
Grundsetmartn is a tradition that has lasted for over 400 years. And it is probably Norways oldest traditional market. From old time they came to Elverum to trade and sell their goods. And still we try to keep the traditions like it has been for hundred of years......
with horses
stands where they sell their things
warm coffee on the fire

We are going to make a table runner tomorrow and I think I will make one with lime, yellow and brown that will be my easter table runner.....................I think He he he he......... I have the whole evening to change my plans (read; fabrics, colours)
Saying for today:
It is always a lot of music, dance,
all kind of handmade things to buy and a lot of people.

Tomorrow I am going to a workshop. I intended to use only from my stash, but of course I had to buy something while visiting the quiltshop today.
I thought I had enough linen at home, but I had done some stupid cutting in that piece, so of course I had to buy a new one. And there was also a linen with roses on that will go perfect with it, so that one also came home with me.

And the winner is.........
Today I have enjoyed visiting all the blogs in the OPAM challenge. Kris have made a spread sheet where we list all finished projects. But now when visiting you I have discovered several things:
Some of you have not put the badge nor the monthly list in the sidebar. Have you regretted joining this challenge. Remember both Kris and I are using time to visit every blog and look for your finishes. So if you don't want to join please let us know and we remove you from the challenge.
Some have the badge, but not a monthly list. Remember that when we visit your blog in the end of the month it is what's listed in the monthly list that counts as a lottery ticket. So please make the monthly list to make our visits more easy.
Some of you have the badge one place and the monthly list faaaaaaaaaaar down at the sidbar. Please put he monthly list and the badge together.
And some blogs I have visited has not reported finishes or listed them in their monthly list. But I see on your blog that you have finished projects. Don't you want to be in the draw? Do not expect Kris and me to look through every post to find your finishes. You have to make it a little bit easy for us. We have a lot of blogs to visit.
But now over to the positive SMILE:I have had a great time visiting your blogs. You are all so creative and make such wonderful things and write such wonderful posts. Sorry I have not had time to comment on every one.
Looking through 280 blogs takes a little time of my day. But want to tell you I have enjoyed every blog I have visited.

Some of you does only have one finish and some of you have many. But the main goal is to have fun doing this and to be proud about one finish as well as many finishes. And I guess many have done like me...........started several new projects too. And that is also allowed. We are having fun aren't we.
Last month we counted 493 finishes. This month we counted 479 finishes, and remember february is a short month. I know there is several of you that had finished more if the month had been longer, like me. I have two almost finished projects today. And this gives us a total of unbelievable 973 finishes. I wonder how many we will have in desember ????
And now it's time to announce the february OPAM winnerAnd the winner is
Anette S at Sunshine Yellow
and this is what she wins
A Tilda stitchery with embroidery thread and cute angel buttons.
Hope you will like this prize.
Please send me a mail with your adress and I put it in the post for you.

February Finishes in OPAM
Are you busy doing some finishes today???
I guess we all are watching the clock, do we manage to finish some more projects this month. The clock is ticking and if you are like me I want a clock like this.................
...........One that have at least one houre more each day.
I noticed on one blog some time ago, a quilters clock that had several extra hours each day.
Do anyone know if there is a pattern for it????

That makes it easy for us to go and have a look right away.

Only projects listed in the sidebar will count as a lotteryticket.
And tomorrow I will draw a winner
who gets a little surprise in the post from me.

My stitchery keeper
I finished it late yesterday so I can bring it with me to the quiltmeeting today.

With double fast2fuse inside + some stitchery batting it got so stiff that it can stand on the table. A little bit hard to sew down the binding, and the plastic was a bit slippery to sew on. But I love how it turned out. Soon ready with number two, and I know I will make more of these. Perhaps with my own touch on it.
The inside ready to be filled with my stitchery for todays quilt meeting.
And this is the outside. The colours are a bit wrong. Photos taken in lamp light and my camera is not good saving colours then.

Now I have to rush to the quiltmeeting. Hope the other ladies brings a lot to show and tell. I bring my stitchery folder and my camera.

Busy busy and OPAM
I have been so busy the last week, and now I realized it is almost a week since my last post. Not much sewing going on. But I did a lot of preparing for "on the go projects" the last weekend. It is always so handy having projects ready in my sewingbag if I have to go out in a hurry.
And how are your progress on
ONE PROJECT A MONTH
for february month.
I am so happy I already have four finishes on my list. And still there is more days to get something finished........or not :) Both Kris and I get reports on finished projects, so I know you girls are busy. And I hope you all feel as happy as me when something is finished. It is a really good feeling, don't you agree ??The February OPAM prize is going to be drawn by me. I hope you all remember to list your finished projects in your sidbar list. On march 1st I will count all projects and each one will have a lottery ticket for february draw. If you have mailed me or Kris about a finished project, but not listed it, I am sorry.....it will not count. And now you wonder what the prize is. In my prizebox I have collected a lot of stuff. Some Tilda stitcheries, some patterns, embroiderythread, fabric and more will be added. And perhaps I just close my eyes and pull out a couple of prizes from this box. Or I will look at the winners blog and find something that I think she will like. You just have to wait and see.
It is also fun getting mail from a no blogger OPAM telling me that she has startet to blog. So Anne Lise (no blogger) is now Anne Lise with a blog.

There is a new blogger having a Giwaway - blog launch. So visit Judith at her blog Creative studio. Tell her that I sent you :)
And I have found a new free BOM over at Elefantz. Some cute wonky houses and it is only four parts in this BOM. So perhaps I trace the first house this evening :)
