Bindings, bindings and more bindings

Boooooooring.
Why do I find sewing bindings so boring. I hate it. But today I have finished bindings on three projects. And I finished them very quick while watching tv. The weather is sunny but very windy and not so warm. And with a sore throat I would not go outside and sit on my porch.
I do not think I am the only one finding this sewing so boring. Perhaps I got a bit spoiled some years ago when my dear mother still was quilting. She always sewed the bindings on my projects. But today I realised that sewing bindings is very relaxing and mindless sewing. So perhaps I will not "fear" this sewing furhter on.

I have finished my tulip runner and now it is laying on my table togehter with yellow light and a easter egg filled with candy.
Looking through my ufo's I found this little rooster. I only had to sew the binding on to finish it. When visiting Stord some years ago I noticed a painting in the hotel lobby. I thought it was so amusing and took a photo of it. When I came home I draw this rooster and appliqued it. And today I finished it. Poor rooster, I think he got to much to drink LOL

I also finished my "Say it with flowers". I love this one. Think I will hang it above my sofa when I remove my easter chickens.

I also found this chicken quilt. This is my own design and I had totally forgotten all about it. But now it is hanging on my kitchen wall.
Now I will start on a new project. Visiting Inga Helenes blog I noticed her beautiful coasters made of kites. So now I will start to make some myself.
Saying for today:
Really I don't dislike to cook,
but what you cook is eaten so quickly.
When you sew, you have something
that will last to show for your efforts.

I like your rooster a lot. He'd look good on my wall hanging except my rooster would be jealous.

I absolutely love to sit and sew down bindings! My friends think I'm nuts but there's something so relaxing about it - can't describe the feeling. :-)

The rooster is so funny! Very cute!

Take care of yourself.

I don't know why I drag my feet when it comes to sewing down bindings, it's not that I don't like to do it, I do! I really like your tulip table runner.

The rooster is so cute -- every one of those pieces is so cute - I love them all. The chickens with the eggs and the heart buttons. Wonderful.

I like to sew on binding - because it means the quilt is finished and it looks so much better once the binding is on!

Happy Easter

How great to finish so many very nice pieces at one time. Binding is my favorite part - mindless and relaxing . . . also I know I will get to enjoy my new finished project soon when I get to this part.

Your tulips are beautiful, and just in time for Spring. I had to giggle at your rooster, too funny. Love your other two projects, you have been busy. Sorry your throat isn't feeling good, and I'm with you, I like sewing binding on about as much as I like going to the dentist. Perhaps we should send ours to Darlene as she enjoys it so much.

Wonderful job finishing - you're not the only one who doesn't like sewing down bindings, it's not my favourite thing either ... but it does mean that you're sooooo close to finishing!

I have to agree with you about not enjoying sewing down bindings. It took doing four quilts last Christmas for me to get over my "fear" -- but having the work completely finished is such a lovely feeling!

I love your rooster too -- what a fun little quilt!

Congrats on getting so many things finished, you must feel really good. I enjoy doing the binding because it's means the quilt is almost finished. Love the flower pots and crazy rooster.

Thank you for your lovely comment on my Anniversary post.
I am amazed how people find me and that was the main reason to post a giveaway, to hopefully meet some of my followers.
Your quilts are just beautiful and I love what you did to get the rooster. That is a gift.
If your looking around, my cousin is "chookyblue" and does some lovely quilting too.
Hope to see your around again.
Regards Fiona

May, what beautiful things to see. All of them are so beautiful. The rooster is hilarious! I like the binding part - because I know I am so close to completion, and because it is relaxing, and I can do it while I am watching tv. Lots of great finishes. Congratulations!
